The view towards the sea, the alleys, narrow and framed by tall buildings, the Strade Nuove with the historic buildings rewarded by UNESCO, ensure Genoa is the ideal stage for an art, history and culture stopover.
Music lovers will appreciate the event thatfrom 29th November to 21st December suggests the city’s museum spaces under a new guise: theatres ready to welcome the 15th edition of "Musica nei musei e non solo". A month of completely free appointments, events and performances which will take place in the main exhibition venues such as the Museum of Natural History,Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Tursi, two of the so-called Rolli of Via Garibaldi, or the Museum Giannettino Luxoro, in the heart of a park overlooking the Gulf of Genoa.
"Musica nei musei e non solo" lives up to its name and provides an opportunity to enjoy musical moments and to learn about some of the most fascinating and beautiful spots of Genoa.

And since we are close to Christmas, the concerts on the 8th and 21st December are part of the program "Il Tempo dei Presepi” (Time for Nativity scenes), the event which aims to enhance the rich tradition of Genoese nativity cribs; a tradition that dates back to the seventeenth century and that made Genoa, together with Naples, one of the most active Italian centres for the production of crib figures. "Il Tempo dei Presepi" until February 28th, 2015 suggests a series of events which includes the staging of historical and artistic cribs, concerts of sacred music, themed itineraries, guided tours and Christmas markets. The lighting of the Christmas tree on December 8th at 17.00 and the "Ceremony of Confeugo" in front of Palazzo Ducale on the 20th also shouldn’t be missed.
